Building Fund

After over 1,000 years of service to the people within the Parish, St Mary’s Northchurch is in need of some tender loving care. Over the last few years many people would have noticed the increase in the damage to the inside walls caused by damp. As the first step in solving this problem, new guttering and drain pipes will be installed. As the church is a Grade 1 listed building these pipes have to be of cast iron and the work is expected to cost several thousand pounds. Scaffolding will be required to complete some of this work which would add additional cost to the work. Further work on the interior walls is likely to follow.
